Ways to Support the One Umbrella Foundation

Shana Lynn Davis studies business marketing at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Committed to serving her local community, Shana Lynn Davis supports the OneUmbrella Foundation.

The OneUmbrella Foundation is a nonprofit that facilitates the organization and staging of outreach events and initiatives. It is based in the Washington, DC, area and takes an active role in meeting needs on a regional level, though it also operates on the national and global scale. The foundation depends on generous individuals to donate their time and skills to make its programs possible.

OneUmbrella welcomes individuals and companies who are willing to host outreach and fundraising events. The organization provides planning and administrative support to event leaders, while also inviting corporations to sponsor events. Sponsors receive listing on the organization's website, Facebook page, and event marketing material.

The organization also welcomes donations for those who wish to support individuals and families affected by natural disaster. Financial donations are appreciated, as are donations of essentials such as clothing, food, and baby care supplies.

About Me

Shana Lynn Davis has been working in the hospitality and food service industry for more than seven years. Her career successes and hard work ethic has resulted in her recent employment at Eddie V's; one of the top 5 restaurants in Northern Virginia, as one of their lead bartenders. She works in a high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide a dining experience to guest which distinguishes allows the restaurant to be the unquestionable first-choice. She has learned an extensive list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; delivered according to company standards and specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant.

Shana began this phase of her career as a server at a Cheesecake Factory in Virginia. In this capacity, she handled tasks such as resolving guest complaints and helping co-workers when needed. During part of this time, Shana Lynn Davis also worked for Barcode and The Huxley as a server and bartender and maintained a 3.6 grade point average while earning an AA from Northern Virginia Community College.

Following her graduation Ms. Davis enrolled at George Mason University, and she is currently seeking a bachelor’s in business and marketing. Since starting at the institution, she has maintained a 3.8 GPA while working full-time at such establishments as Story and Eden.

Outside of her professional development and academics, Shana Lynn Davis trains and competes in Kumdo, a martial arts style from Korea that deals with sword work. She has trained with US Hwa Rang Kwan, an affiliate of the Korea Kumdo Association, and has earned numerous first-, second-, and third-place medals.

In addition, Ms. Davis has been studying, training, and performing as a pianist and cellist since the age of five. She was a chamber orchestra member in middle and high school, during which time she was invited to perform several solos. Further, she trained for three years with a nationally recognized symphony orchestra performer.
